Papee-Bustle duo wins 600 Club Doubles Tournament

Supachai Papee (635 series) of Alexandria and Nick Bustle (550) of Chantilly combined for a 1,185 team series to win the Vir-Mar District 600 Club Winter Spring Tournament held March 23 at Bowl America Bull Run.

Papee (229) and Bustle (204) combined for a 433 team game to earn high team game honors as well.

Bowlers with the top seven individual series also qualified for the Tournament of Champions, which will be held May 11. These qualifiers are as follows: 1) Papee, 635; 2) Mike Nelson of Oakton, 633; 3) Ryan Riegel of Sterling, 625; 4) David Denick of Vienna, 603; 5) Nick Calabrese of Fairfax, 573; 6) A J Dickman of Chantilly, 565; 7) Nick Bustle of Chantilly, 550; 8) Jeremy Davis of Woodbridge, 534; 9) Glenn Mullenax of Sterling, 505; 10) Jamie Strange of Centreville, 501; and 11) Josh Bustle of Chantilly, 499. Nelson, Riegel, Calabrese, and Nick Bustle qualified at a previous tournament.

High individual games bowled during the tournament were as follows: Game 1 — Riegel, 226; Game 2 — Denick, 242; and Game 3 — Papee, 229.
