Petraglia edges Brosius for PBA Senior regional title at Fort Meade

March 12, 2006 — PBA Hall of Famer Johnny Petraglia of Manalapan, N.J., bested NCABA Hall of Famer Lee Brosius of Centreville, Va., 229-225 this afternoon in title match of the PBA East Region Fort Meade Open at The Lanes Fort Meade. Petraglia pocketed $1,500 for winning, while Brosius took home $850.

In the Round of 16 this morning, Ron Smith, Clinton, Md., defeated Jimmy Plessinger, York, Pa., and Gil Wheeler of Laurel, Md., topped Bob Caruso, Dayton, N.J., to advance to the Round of 8. Smith and Wheeler earned $600. Also in the Round of 16, Dave Kneas of Annapolis, Md., fell to Petraglia and NCABA Hall of Famer Larry Wallace lost to Hugo McGroty, Schenectady, N.Y. Kneas and Wallace collected $500.
