“The tournament you can trust”

Super Bowl Mini Eliminator rolls February 6-12
with $50,000 top prize and new Open Division

1-in-8 advance to daily finals to earn up to $1,000 every day

Las Vegas — The 5th Annual Super Bowl Mini Eliminator Tournament, presented by Brunswick, will take off February 6 and run through February 12 at the beautiful Orleans Hotel, Casino and Bowling Center in Las Vegas. "The King" of the Vegas megabuck events will guarantee $50,000 first place in 2006, up from $30,000 last year.

Aside from the big $50,000 top prize is an all new “Open Division”, and for the first time, all former PWBA champions and members, and all non-exempt PBA pros (except multi-title holders since 1995) are eligible to bowl in this special division. All those “professional amateurs,” such former megabuck winners, and national team members will also compete in the new division. The beauty of the concept is that Mini Eliminator bowlers who are competing in the normal age divisions will no longer have to try to qualify for the finals against these elite players.

Super Bowl Mini Age Divisions are the same as in the past events — 39 and under, 40-49, and 50-59. There will also be a 60+ Super Senior division and an improved Women’s Only division; for the first time, there will be a women’s cut every day, with 1-in-8 women advancing to the finals. Women who are PWBA national champions or current PBA members will compete in the open division. There will be 28 three-game qualifying squads February 6-12. The Grand Finale will be at 8 p.m. (PST) February 12.

A "Bowl More To Save More" entry fee structure is also new. First entries, which includes a $50 MoRich products coupon good in the Orleans pro shop, are $250; second is $180, third $160, and the fourth entry, which includes a new top-of-the-line Brunswick Inferno ball, is $140. All entries after the fourth are only $99 each, and anyone who enters eight squads gets a second free Brunswick ball. Other bonuses include free Dexter shoes with 10 entries, $50 in Orleans Casino Matchplay coupons, and for all who pre-pay by January 17, a free mid-week room night at the beautiful Orleans Hotel.

Mini Eliminator bowers who arrive early in the week can also participate in the Orleans Bowlers Only Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Tournament to be held during the Super Bowl February 5. The Poker tournament will start at 2:30 p.m. and be finished in time for everyone to make the MoRich Mixed Doubles Finals that start after the game at approximately 7 p.m. (PST). Details of the poker tournament can be found at www.pinaclevents.com.

Brunswick to provide precise oil patterns
at the Super Bowl Mini with new "Authority 22" System

Las Vegas — Brunswick, the world’s leader in bowling, has been the presenting sponsor of Steve Sanders’ Mini Eliminator events for many years. In 2006, Brunswick will also become the official lane maintenance company, and will introduce its new ‘Authority 22 Lane Maintenance System’ at the Super Bowl Mini Eliminator February 6-12, 2006. The event will be held at the 70-lane Orleans Bowling Center in Las Vegas.

Brunwick’s Authority 22, with a unique new graphic user interface, makes developing the precise oil patterns used in Mini Eliminator competition easier and more accurate than ever before. The Authority 22 "Accu-Ject" is an innovative oil injection system that independently applies a precise amount of lane oil through 39 injectors, one for each board on the lane. The result is extremely consistent conditions across the house.

The Super Bowl Mini Eliminator lane patterns will be revealed on the Mini Eliminator Web site (minieliminator.com) starting January 1, 2006, and any Mini Eliminator contestant using a Brunswick bowling ball can practice for free on actual tournament conditions at the Orleans Bowling Center on the Brunswick Practice Range located next to the Brunswick on-site drilling and surfacing room.

“We are very excited about being able to offer 'High Definition Pattern Control' with our Authority 22 lane maintenance system to the bowlers, and to be the official lane maintenance provider to the Mini Eliminator,” said Brunswick Bowling Products Vice President Ann Wasserberger.
