Mini Eliminator returns 100 percent of entry fees

The 11th annual Mini Eliminator Tournament is almost here, and when the king of all megabuck events rolls at the Orleans Bowling Center, Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas July 3-11, the event will pay back 100 percent of players entry fees, and more. While other megabuck events automatically deduct a percentage of the entry fee for expenses, the Mini Eliminator does not. Because of our great sponsors, none of the bowlers' money is taken out of entry fees.

"Thanks to our great sponsors we are able to give bowlers a 100 percent return of their entry money," said Steve Sanders, president of Pinacle Events.

In fact, not only is 100 percent of the bowler?s entry fee put into the prize fund, but thousands in sponsor money is also added. As the tournament has grown over the past decade, prize money has increased every year, with more than $1 million being paid to the players in cash and prizes, more than any other megabuck event.

Reserve Your Room On-Line

It's never been easier to make room reservations at the Orleans for the Mini Eliminator; just go online to the Mini Eliminator Web site www.minieliminator.com and click on the 2004 Mini Eliminator logo. When the Mini page comes up, click on the Orleans logo which will bring up the Orleans Web site, where you follow the simple step-by-step procedure to make your reservation using the special promo code Min0702.

Special rates for Mini Eliminator bowlers are $49 Sunday-Thursday and $79 Friday and Saturday. Hurry, because rooms are limited and selling fast. Last year, the Mini brought in over 1,400 people, so don't delay.

Brunswick and Pinacle Offers Discount Ball Shipping

With most airlines lowering their weight limit on luggage, it has become very expensive to take more than a couple of balls to a tournament, and to get the new ones won at the event back home. As an extra service to all megabuck bowlers in Las Vegas, Brunswick and Pinacle will provide deep discount shipping through FedEx, which is a big savings over airline prices.

It is not uncommon for megabuck bowlers to leave Las Vegas after bowling in the megabuck events with two or three times the number of balls they arrived with, so this is a very valuable and needed service. "We've been doing this for a couple of years, and the bowlers tell us it really saves them a lot of money," said Brunswick's Ray Edwards.

Brunswick will provide a special shipping room at the Orleans bowling center on July 10 and July 11 where bowlers from the Mini or other events can pack and ship bowling equipment home. All forms, and shipping materials, like boxes, packing, tape, etc will be available and assistants to help guide bowlers through the process. There is no better or less expensive way to ship bowling equipment home, and it's just one more exclusive service provided by Brunswick and Pinacle Events to all megabuck bowlers.

Walk-Ins Welcome

Okay, so you procrastinated—we all do it. But don't worry: You won't get shut out of the 11th Mini Eliminator. The Mini accepts walk-in entries up to one hour before each squad, and with 70 lanes for tournament play, most squads will not be sold out.

It's so easy; just show up at the Orleans at least one hour before any of the 25 qualifying squads or the six matchplay events, pay your entry fee, and you're in! Remember, you must bowl in at least one qualifying squad to be eligible for the matchplay events. A complete schedule is available on the Mini Web site or pick up an entry brochure at the Orleans when you arrive.

The Mini Eliminator is now "Two Tournaments in One"—it's a 3-game scratch qualifying event with squads each day July 3-10; and a single game matchplay event with squads each evening July 3-8. The top prize in the 3-game qualifier event is $50,000, and the top prize in the matchplay event is $25,000. If the same player wins both, they will earn a $25,000 bonus and take home a huge $100,000 check. The Mini will also guarantee 150 prizes of $1,000 or more. With the lowest entry fee and the best guarantees, the Mini is the best event in megabuck bowling.

The Mini Eliminator is presented by Brunswick, the world?s leader in bowling, and sponsored by Turbo 2-N-1 Grips, Coast Casinos, KR Strikeforce, Dyno-Thane Shoes, Kegel Training Center, and Bowling This Month Magazine.

New entry brochures are now available by calling the Mini Hotline 1-877/900-MINI (6464) or by visiting the award-winning Mini Eliminator Web site.

Mini Eliminator top bowler can now win $100,000!

New Super Senior, Women's, and True Amateur divisions
added to 11th annual Mini

When the 11th annual Mini Eliminator Tournament rolls July 3-11 at the Orleans Bowling Center, Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, megabuck bowlers will now have a chance to go home with a huge $100,000 paycheck.

Previously, if a Mini bowler won both the 3-game Mini Qualifier event and the new Mini Matchplay event, they would earn $75,000. Now, if the 3-game Qualifier gets 3,500 or more entries (4,212 last year) the winner earns $50,000. The Matchplay winner will earn $25,000. If the same person wins both, he or she gets a $25,000 bonus to take home a total of $100,000.

In addition to the increased guarantees, many more new features have been added to make this Mini Eliminator bigger and better than ever:

The new Mini Matchplay Tournament has also been upgraded, with 8 bowlers now advancing to the finals each of the six nights the event is held with a $1,000 minimum guarantee. Once a bowler makes the "Great 48," they are only three wins from a $25,000 payoff, and four will be worth $50,000.
