October 25, 1995: Walter Ray Williams Jr. becomes the 12th player in PBA history to win a title after qualifying in the 24th position: He defeats top seed David Traber, 235-232 in the championship match of the Rochester (N.Y.) Open for his 16th career victory.


October 25, 1990: Leading qualifier Jimmy Certain tops Bob Hart, 218-202, to capture his second PBA senior title at the Treasure Coast Senior Open in Fort Pierce, Fla.
