October 21, 1992: Top seed Pete Weber defeats Harry Sullins, 219-192, to win the Bud Light Touring Players Championship in Indianapolis.


October 21, 1987: Leading qualifier Teata Semiz handles first-time finalist Jerry Smith, 222-182, in the title match of the Treasure Coast PBA Senior Open in Fort Pierce, Florida. Semiz, who won in Canton, Ohio the previous week, became the first player to win consecutive PBA Senior events.


October 21, 1980: Joe Berardi wins his second title in five weeks by defeating Chuck Pierce, 213-198, at the Kessler Open in Lansing, Michigan. Bobby Hall of the District placed 21st in this event.


October 21, 1974: Don Johnson captures his 23rd PBA title and $5,000 at the Buzz Fazio Open in Battle Creek, Michigan. His margin of victory over runner-up Johnny Petraglia is 190 pins.
